Spiti meaning ‘The Middle Land’ is a magical valley surrounded with deserted mountains in the lap of Himalaya. It is often referred to as the better alternative to Leh-Ladakh. Located in the state of Himachal Pradesh, Spiti valley enjoys the remoteness and lets you connect to self. The valley has high snow-peaked mountains, pristine emerald lakes, narrow passes, mighty rivers, and several ancient monasteries.
Places To Visit In Spiti Valley:-

Chandra Tal:-
Located at an altitude of 4300 m, this is a crescent-shaped lake, located near Kunzum Pass. Literally translated to ‘lake of the moon’, because of the shape, this is one of the best places to visit in Spiti valley. The color of the lake keeps changing from blue, green to reddish and orange throughout the day and this phenomenon, along with clear views of the place, make the scene even more magical and panoramic. Popular as a trekker’s heaven, people hike through Lahaul ranges surrounding the lake and enjoy overnight camping at the vast green meadows, adjacent to Chandra Taal.
Pin valley:-
Pin Valley is dotted with beautiful villages like Sangam and Mud village. The colour changing mountains and hilltops of Pin valley makes it a perfect place to take time-lapse videos. The Pin River flows by the Pin valley converting the surrounding villages into green carpets where residents grow peas and potatoes. Endangered species of snow leopard can be spotted in the Pin valley national park.

Kaza:-
The town of Kaza, Kaze or Kaja is the sub divisional headquarters of the remote Spiti Valley .Spiti, which is a part of the Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal, It is a high altitude desert having close similarities to the neighboring Tibet and Ladakh regions in terms of terrain, climate and the Buddhist culture. Kaza is known for its colorful festivals and the ancient Sakya Tangyud Monastery in a side valley, 4 km from the town. It is also popular with tourists and adventure seekers during summer months because of its central location and connections to the rest of the valley and outside. This central location also makes Kaza an ideal base camp for trekking, mountaineering and tours directed to other parts of the valley
